In Hawaii

13 hours in Hawaii to kill before our flight leaves Honolulu at 5:00 AM, so we went to the beach and out for supper.  I am not quite sure how to explain what we are each feeling about getting to the island we will be calling home tomorrow.  We have been preparing and planning for so long that part of it will be relief to finally be there, but there are also some nerves.  We are excited to be done traveling and see where we will be living, though!  

Thanks to the advice of Ryan and Anna Gerber, we tried some lava flows, baja fish tacos and other local favorites.  I am sure they would have been even better if Ryan and Anna had been there to enjoy them with us!  Hope all is well with everyone reading this.

36 Hours & Counting

I am currently sitting in my hotel room with my wonderful husband and lovely friend Kayla Sperling. The reality is starting to set in that soon we will be leaving on an exciting adventure. BUT we are also leaving behind amazing friends that are irreplaceable and a family that loves us dearly. For the next 36 hours I want to fully live in the present and enjoy every moment I have with them!

From a Hotel at Home....

We are three days away from our big move.
     We are in Lincoln but are living out of a suitcase and hotel room.
           We are loving spending time with friends and family
                 and will miss them dearly.
                      Yet we are ready to start our adventure in Kwajalein
                            and see what the Lord has in store for us!
